I've got a few baits that have the metal hook hanger that has two screws holding it in. 7" Suicks, and a few topwater baits. Most of these have never been used, and never had a fish on.

Should I be concerned about the durability of these hook hangers? Should I remove them, and install screw eyes? Just remove the screws epoxy the holes, and re-screw the standard hook hanger back in?
Do nothing?

That type of hanger assembly has been in use for decades. It is sometimes used because the bait is too narrow for screw eyes. Removing the screws and using a shot of epoxy in the holes when you replace them might add additional strength and piece of mind. Also a properly adjusted reel drag when using certain baits can reduce the stress on the weaker links between you and those powerful jaws.
