 | I've got a few baits that have the metal hook hanger that has two screws holding it in. 7" Suicks, and a few topwater baits. Most of these have never been used, and never had a fish on.

Should I be concerned about the durability of these hook hangers? Should I remove them, and install screw eyes? Just remove the screws epoxy the holes, and re-screw the standard hook hanger back in?
 Do nothing?

 | That type of hanger assembly has been in use for decades. It is sometimes used because the bait is too narrow for screw eyes. Removing the screws and using a shot of epoxy in the holes when you replace them might add additional strength and piece of mind. Also a properly adjusted reel drag when using certain baits can reduce the stress on the weaker links between you and those powerful jaws.
