Location: Ontario, Canada | Trying to find out a little more about this reel. Such as :
Does the reel have a disengaging or a non-disengaging level wind system ?
Any thoughts on the quality of the drag stack used in this reel ?
Is anyone using the reel for muskie fishing, and what has your experience been so far ?
I like the fact that the reel is available in a left hand model, as is the other Lexa models, the counter balanced power handle, the gear ratio and "up to 22 lbs. drag".
I like the price point also.

Any thoughts are very much appreciated.

| When you cast the line guide doesn't move. It's a tiny reel.. and super smooth |

Location: Sussex, NJ | Agreed. Small size, super smooth, and really light. Half the size of Toro. I have the lefty 6.3 ratio and ive used it once but I love it. Great for smaller Bucktails, gliders, and spinnerbaits even cranks. Worth the money. Id buy one if I were you. |

Location: Ontario, Canada | Thanks for the info, gentlemen. I'm going to get the 7.1: 1 with the power handle.
I'll use it mostly as a glider/wtd, #7 & 8 blade reel, but out of interest I'll experiment with other baits such as small cranks and rubber as well. Sounds like it could be a good spring time small bait reel also.
I was talking to another person today that has been using this reel for a while now, and he had only good things to say about it. He did tell me the level wind is disengaging, and no line out alarm.

C'mon man, Pounders? Really? Pounders? Next you'll be saying the reel is junk and we'll all wonder why. I simply wouldn't feel comfortable throwing BIG rubber with such a light duty reel. Maybe that's just me. If it's working for you GREAT! But I wouldn't plan on it working too long. That's like buying a Revo S to throw pounders. |
