| i need help on were to find materials and how to learn how to make them and tie the tails. thanks to all to spend the time to reply. let em go what em grow! |

| I buy the hooks, O-rings, and colored deer tails at jannsnetcraft.com . You will also need a vise, sharp tip sissors, and a fly tying bobbin. Buy the strongest thread you can find or I use old super lines that I have taken off my reels. Put the hook in the vise, cut a small bit of hair and wrap and tie. Repeat this with one or a few colors all around the treble then tie off, and, finish with any color nailpolish you can steal from your wife. After a couple trys you'll have some looking better than store bought. You can also buy the blades, beads, and wire there, but I just buy Mepps or Blue Fox without hair and cut those hooks off or use those O-rings to put on my bucktails. I also like a bit of Flashabou tied in. You only need a few blades and then change the tails on the water in seconds. Its a thrill to have a big day with your own bucktails![;)] |

I like to tie mine on coiled springs, then if a shaft gets bent, you just cut the shaft and rebuild it.
Moores lures and Stamina have a good supply of componets, stuff you can't get other places. Rollie has
some good stuff too, as well as Thornes.

| Can't go wrong with moores and stamina. Stamina can get backed up at times delaying the order for a couple weeks but that was last year. Moores has always goten stuff to me in a few days. Both places have stuff the other does not.
