Location: Elgin, IL | Wondering if there's any info or thoughts for this area. Heading out this week and curious on temp, water level on river or even techniques to work on. Am goin to call and stop by Smokey's but if anyone is willing to give some input it would be appreciated. Thanks. |

Location: Waukesha WI | I was out in the bay trolling sat. an sun. nothing to show. Fished from long tail point to little tail also north of that about ah mile, trolled 5' to 15' from 2mph to 3mph. I found no weed beds just a lot of dead weeds floating. I marked a ton of bait fish in 10' to 15' of water and big arcs but nothing, tried everything from 4''to 16'' baits every color, i also tried the frying pan nothing there ether, smokeys is a great place to call for info very cool guys. |

| We were out there for 4 days straight---trolling dawn to dusk----ZERO--in the boat---had 2 rips but no hook ups so not sure if they were even SKI's. Usuall do fairly well this time of year but it was slow for us and also heard from others---SLOW !!!! |

Location: Elgin, IL | Well, wanted to thank the fellows who had given me some info prior to my trip. Like everyone here and there had mentioned. Nothing to show. From morning to sunset, shallow and deep, trolled all the way to short point and lower area. Did spot some scattered weeds in an area still nothing.
Oh well maybe next time. First time there and didn't expect much. Did enjoy going into Smokey's. Was hard keeping cash in my pocket. |
