I have an auger, several poles and some panfish jigs but no tip ups. Been a few times it's fun, I just need to commit to going more often. My dad does not ice fish so I need to find somebody to do that with.

I am. Love ice fishing. So does my daughter, even more than my son does. Can't wait for Bago, and Mendota to freeze enough for the ATV to get out on them![:)] [:p] [:p]

Well let's see...

three ice shacks, two wood and one portable.

One is 8X12 and has a bunk, wood stove, cook stove and porta potty. Built on a trailer and sets up in 20 minutes...That one's for sale by the way.

Yup...we enjoy ice fishing allot. Usually spend New Years Eve out at the big shack, bar-b-que steaks, light off fireworks, it's a hoot.

My time of year to wreak havok on the pike...[]

I try to be. Depends on the year. Couple years ago I was out 3-4 times a week. Last year, I was lucky to be out 3-4 times all year.

I do some ice fishing. Put out the tips ups for pike/walleye and/or jig for panfish.

You know, there's a motel on Little Bay De Noc that's located right next to a spot where folks drive out on the ice. Could be cool to rent two rooms for a weekend, you guys bring all your stuff and a couple kids and we'll have a ice fishing party. I think Shady and others might be interested. Free fishing weekend in Feb, should be very safe ice by then. Hmmmm.....

I ice fish more than any other type of fishing and that includes muskies. I have around 30 tip-ups and just as many rods and reels. I have 2 permanent shacks and 3 portables. I have 2 power augers and 2 hand augers. I have one vexilar FL-8 and my next purchase will be the new one. So to say the least I love ice fishing and do it almost every day I can. But do I catch fish? Some years I do. LOL

God I love icefishing...

Tip up's for pike and walleyes, jigging for perch and eyes, nightime crappies its all good.

During college I lived on ice, since then less and less, but I still love it. I used to drive from Milwaukee to Bemidji MN (9 hours)...yank 200 jumbo perch and a few eyes and go home in a weekend and did not think twice about doing it. I also spend some time at the inlaws ice fishing Petenwell and Big Eue plain. In college I fished the Wisconsin river backwaters and when I was in MN, the red lake river in Crookston thur the ice and Bemidji almost every weekend.

I have Thorne brother icefishing rods, tons of tip ups mostly frabil and some HT and 2 Fish trap ice shacks and a Jiffy auger so I am always ready to go. I cant wait to get my daughter out there this year and see the smile on her face with a big crappie coming thru the hole.

This year I plan on doing some ice fishing in the Milwaukee harbor for Browns in late winter.

Zachs about 99% done with www.icefishingfirst.com

I cant wait.[]

I'm with Bill, ice belongs in the bottom of a glass of Wild turkey and coke! Now, if someone out there reading this wants to invite me out to their shack to show me the ropes, we could sit around and talk over the season's musky fishing and have a few cold ones while we wait for the fish to bite, I'd be willing to give it a try as long as the drive is reasonable. I don't have any equipment, but would be willing to bring the adult beverages! Takers?? []

I enjoy ice fishing, but our ice season has been kind of short here in Ohio the last few years. Maybe this year I'll get to go more than a handfull of times.

Jason,

Those backwaters by Rusty's on the WI River still produce some great fish, same with Red Bridge and the Pipe, the bloody mary's at Rusty's are still good too. How about an IcefishingFirst outing on the Big Eau Pleine?
