| For deep divers i like 7.5" scubas from Big game
Muskie Train MX9 for big fish, MX7.5 and MX6 for minnow style cranks
Muskie Train diesel or MF Shad for shad or panfish sized cranks.
Good luck,
Jeff Hanson

Location: Des Moines IA | Due to the fact I tend to snag up and lose lures, I stick with easily replaceable lures. Far and away, good old Depth Raiders have been the best for me, and I went through my big money custom trolling bait phase as well. Sold all the customs, and pretty much run DRs, Grandmas, and Jakes now. |

| 10" believers are a must have trolling bait - straight and jointed ..i personally like jointed better for trolling but both catch fish, just be careful and give them room when fishing multiple lines as they will "wander" 5-6 feet side to side...but that's also what drives the fish crazy! |

Location: WI | Grandmas! Both the jerkbait (shallow) style lip & the normal one. Believers have been good sometimes. 12" Big Game is a great bait! Custom X makes some nice stuff as well. |

| This is an interesting question, and my answer is ...As a buyer you have to be careful because many of the lures being mentioned above are producing fish in waters and States very different from waters and areas that you normally fish. There are a lot of things to consider. For example most waters are larger, deeper, and cooler, and with structure you could only dream about in your hometown lake. I believe most musky fisherman are fishing larger bodies of water not fishing smaller pond like, man made lakes and small reservoirs like a lot of us do in the N.J./ PA area ......A 10" to 12" lure that produces fish over and over again in the Niagara River,or lake Erie, may not produce anything in smaller man made reservoirs, and small lakes, and rivers like ours. Will all the lures mentioned above catch fish? I'm Sure they will, and all of them are capable of doing so. ... But you want to try and find the lures that produce fish in the areas you fish on a regular basis... My top 5 choices for NJ/PA areas trolling would be Wileys 6-8" Jakes 6-8" Tuff Shads 5" Bagley Monster Shads, and Rapalas .Large Bucktails and Spinnerbaits are Great in the Spring in our Areas too..... | Historically and presently, I've come to rely on these baits for trolling:
1. Depthraiders (jointed and straight)
2. Tuff Shads (5" and 8")
3. 10" Jakes
4. Rad Dog Spinnerbaits (Tandem, Heavy, 2.25oz)
I'm intrigued by the Krave...I like its action and I have had some action with it, and will probably be using it a bit more. Also, guys I know have had a lot of good luck with the Muskie Train cranks. I should probably pick a few of those up as well. |

| I've used and will continue to use most of the lures mentioned in this thread so far (DR's, Jake's, Grandmas, etc.) Would also add Big Game Scubas, H2O Tackle Cranky Nitros and Cranky X, and Slammer 7" deep minnow. Sometimes add a Lee's Top H2O over weeds on the shallow side. Bear in mind I'm row trolling. Typical speed about 2mph in summer a bit slower in fall. |
