| who fishes LOTW? I have seen a lot of reports on good catches there, people going there for their anual fishing trip, I see that lake in a lot of Bob mehsikomer's tapes so what is special about this lake? | |

| The LOTWs has 950,000 acres of water, 14,562 islands, 65,000 miles of shoreline. Lots of spawning bays, with great natural reproduction. Lots of great fishing spots, weed beds, points, reefs, saddles, bays, etc., with potential for a 50" fish on any cast. Great scenery, with abundant wildlife to entertain you if the fish aren't biting.
Great place, I've fished it since 1961, and spend 150 days a year on it. It's about as good as it gets from an overall perspective of good fishing and wilderness experience.

| sounds like a like I have to put on my wish-list of fishing trips!!! WOW, I didn't know there was such a large variety in this one lake. I knew it was huge though. | |

| One other thing that it has is two different types of water , deep trout water (Whitefish bay) and staind water. I personally have been only on the lake for 13yrs and every day is a new adventure, you have probably one of the largest muskie playgrounds in the world at your disposal.

| divani, LOTW is a fishermans paridise. I fish there 3 or 4 weeks a year. In addition to the best musky fishing on the planet, it also offers world class walleye, smallmouth bass, and a very resurgent pike population. Fishing early in the season, with down sized spinnerbaits, you are likely to catch all 4 in the same day.
If you ever get a chance, go, you won't regret it. I am sure there are a number of people here that would show you around. Mike Jensen | |
