I found this boat for sale and it looks clean from the pictures. It has a 115 Suzuki 80lb terranova new tires and bearings on trailer. And the guy is asking 5000. It's the console version. Is that a good deal?

If the transom is solid, and the motor checks out that is an awesome deal. If you decide not to get it, pm me the info and I'll take a look at it

I think it's a good deal. I wouldn't take less than 6500 for mine and it's an '87 model.

Scooter, i think your's is a rampage 160. This boat is a rampage magnum which is a completely different hull. I have a boat like your's and want a rampage magnum if the right deal comes around.

Slime what's the difference? Remember I'm new to Tuffy, always trying to learn. Is the Magnum a deep V? Still has to be a great buy.

The Rampage Magnum features a widened 180 hull. The boat is wider and deeper than the 180, which was the Rampage 160's big brother. My son Keith has a completely restored 180 console model with a 90 Mariner. Nice ride.

I had two of the Rampage Magnum models: my favorite was a dual console powered by a 150 V6 Mariner. Was a heck of a zoomer.

Steve, the pictures you posted in my forum that is Keith's boat? If it is than I see the difference. That has to be a great buy if it is solid. Dual console and a 150 I bet that was a fun boat. Steve, what did the Muskie Rampage with a 75 Mariner and the Rampage Magnum with a Mariner 90 sell for new? Both single console. Ball Park?

Keith's is a 180. The Magnum is wider.

I remember in the late 80's a 180 Sportsman (console) that sold at the Northwest Show in Minneapolis for $13K, the most expensive Tuffy ever sold at the time. The Musky Rampage with a 90 was about 9K, if I remember correctly, but the value in today's dollar would be MUCH higher.

Thanx Steve. Amazing how times have changed. Now we are 40-60k for a boat. I think I'll just keep rebuilding the old stuff. I love my first Tuffy even though it's 25 yrs. old
