Origional!
I'm making two sizes one that is the same length as a Mag Dawg but just a little lighter but has good drop. The other is just a tad longer than a pounder, but lighter. |

Bending up my own out of .051 and .064 bucktail wire. Fish seem to agree with them.

By what am I making them out of? Do you mean the type of plastic or the mold? Regarding the plastic, it is a special mix I made up from Lurecraft and the mold, well I'll just keep that to my self. Regarding costs, I have determined how much they cost me to make and where my raw material volumes need to be to get the best pricing. As far as selling them, I guess everything has a price. PM me and we can discuss it.

| I was referring to the type of plastic. I've been thinking about making my own but was trying to determine whether or not it is cost-effective versus purchasing a new Bull Dawg, for example. I guess my bottom line question is can a Bull-Dawg-type lure be made cheaper than what a real one can be purchased for when you just look at the cost of purchasing/shipping the raw materials? |

| Let me put it this way I could part with my pounder sized ones for $17.00 and be happy. |

| I believe that answers my question. Thank you |

| Tried glitter, still trial and error. I think it catches more fisherman. Double tail still in R&D. I would be willing to part with some of the big ones. |

| What are you calling it? The BlockHead? How about Flat Top? Seriously though, nice looking baits. With that flat top and bottom on the head it will definitely push some water and give off a different vibration. Different is good and simpler is often better. I don't think the glitter or paint matters much to the fish either. Nice work, go catch a monster on one. |

Location: Verona, WI | Chris,
I gave the two I got from you a shot yesterday. No fish but they look really good in the water. They seem more erratic than a dawg which may be because of the squared sides (my 0.02 cents). They also hang on the pause more than I thought.

| Thanks Shane, glad you like them. The smaller one put a hurtin on the fish this weekend in Onieda.
Guest a friend called them U-boats and that is the name that stuck. |

| What is the weight difference between the smaller version and the larger version? Do you have any video of them in the water? |

| Looks nice, can you explain how it runs, etc. Like does it pull hard, run shallower or deeper, easy to cast, etc. Thanks |
|
|
|
Posts: 431
| Runs a little nose down which makes it come in deeper. Doesn't pull hard at all. Straight retrieve or slow pulls. If you pull it too fast the tails loose their action. It is a slower presentation. Tails stay seperated when pulling bait. |

| how much would a dbl tail 21 in cost? |
|
|
|
Posts: 431
| This double tail is only 13" . There would have to be a new mold made for a bigger one. Don't have all the kinks worked out yet in this one. |

| Got a chance to check these out at our meeting last night. Very impressive looking lure and im thinking much more durable than most others. |

Location: Chicago, IL | Your U-Boats look awesome, man! I really like the most recent pearl/cisco ones too. Additionally, I like how you don't put a top single hook on 'em. Personally, I use my hook cutters to cut this hook off of every dawg, megaD etc. because it reduces fouling on the cast and hasn't adversely impacted hooking percentage one bit. Would love to test a few of these out this season. Keep up the good work. |
