| I have a few brand new lures (wood composition) that I want to repaint. Anyone have any good ways to strip the existing paint off of these baits?

| Depending on what type of paint it is you might want to try acetone, virgin laquer thinner or Xylene. There are some citrus based ones that work very well too and are way less toxic. |

| I usually sand mine with a 50 grit,then clean them up with laquer and let it air dry a day or two before i repaint them. |

| Sandpaper is the besy way. You might what to tyr a sandblaster, but be carefull. |

| it depends on which topcoat was used. If it's epoxy I remove it all and I use sandpaper to go all the way to the bare wood. Then I prime them again and seal it with a new topcoat after having sprayed a new colorpattern.
If it is a different coating, you can usually remove it with 50grain sanding paper. |
