| Which would you rather go to for a weekend trip? I've heard that both lakes can be pretty good at times as far as southern lakes go but dont know too much about either one. |

Location: 15 miles east of Lake Kinkaid | Cave run has many more muskies and is much easier to find fish. This being said, Cave Run has much more fishing pressure. Both lakes are beautiful and offer a legitimate chance at a fish over 50". |

Location: Cave Run, KY | This time of year with the fall colors just beginning and the shores are bound 97% by Daniel Boone Nat Forest on a lake with no docks or houses or anything.... Ah my heart says the "Cave". Oh she has fish too! see the thread "My first 50." |

Location: Knoxville, TN | I fish Melton Hill religously but the fish are very tough this time of year for some reason. I would stay on Cave Run as you probably have a better chance at fish there. |
