I was wondering how the St. Croix Slingblade is for throwing regular sized Bulldogs?

I have thrown regular dogs on mine for some time now with no problems at all. I even lob a few Mag Dogs with that rod on occasion, If that's the heaviest you throw, go with it.....

Yeah I have the Slingblade too and throw reg bulldogs. It's the perfect rod for those.

I haven't done Pounders with my Sling Blade, but it throws all smaller sized Dawgs with ease. Regular Dawgs, no problem. Go for it!

I've thrown the 12-ounce thunderbeast and Curly Sues with it. If I was going to take an all-day trip throwing nothing but heavy rubber, I'd go Big Nasty or Big Rubber.

Thanks. Probably won't be throwing anything bigger than the regulars.

You even can cast them with the long ranger, if the regular is the biggest you fish thats probably a nice tool too.
