I am going to put some more time into dive and rise baits this fall and was wondering what is everyone's favorite? Suick 9" Thriller? Wades Wobbler? Hawg teaser? Burt? Sledge? Something custom? I have caught a few fish on Suicks, Burts, and Sledges but they rarely leave my box anymore.

Break out the old ones from your tackle box! How about adding Bobbies and Big Daddy's,Hawg Seekers Teases and The Martin are all worth trying. Have you tried weighting the jerk baits or the 10" version of the Suick? Have fun, lots of options,

I’m a little biased but I love the MDR Chopper for dive-n-rise.  Before I had those my favorites were Suicks and Bobbie Baits

The weighted sledge works for me as are the weighted suicks. Sandcats are nice too.

I enjoy using dive and rise baits more then any other lure. You can really put a lot of life in them with a rod you can pull down without hitting the water. My favs are bobbies, wade's wobblers, and MDR choppers. Of course I bet the suicks have boated more fish then all the others combined.

I will have to say Suicks as well. Weighted preferably. But I like both depending on the structure your fishing. was out fishing with TC MUSKIE, he was using a Wades Wobbler, I liked the action a lot.

I am a dive and rise junkie. That is why I have built so many different versions in my line up. The Trueglide "Tremor" is an absolutely different type of dive and rise. It has a slow rise and an erractic dive pattern. That bait seems to produce when nothing else will

The "Rumor" was designed to fish the deep coontail breaks in my area.it will run deeper than any other dive and rise bait that I know of and it has a slight wiggle on the pull. It also figure eights beautifully almost like a crank

I have even made a couple od d&R soft plastics just for fun and a dive and rise 5 segment swimbait that has a few fish to it's credit.

I also like Wades wobblers , the classic suicks and big daddy's. They all work.

I was also introduced to the Danny this year....assume you were fishing LOTW Mak?

interesting bait....get's tangled up a little much at times and the back tickler is not terribly durable but myself and some buddies did take some very nice fish on it....

Pal---YESS!!! The old Hi-Finns RULE. When I wear one out, I go on ebay, find another one, then have it painted....Orange tiger pattern. That bait is ALWAYS in my top 5.

Anybody else ever use a Pro Musky Jerk made my John Meyer (sp?). Almost identical yet better than a Wades Wobbler imo but lacked in durability. Ducktail Warrior is alright but a little too pricey for me to bang on rocks.

Actually Thorne Bros was carrying them (plastic version); picked one up as it looked like an interesting bait. They do tangle and are hair light to cast but I really like the action... easy to make them dance.

Does it have a long hangtime or more like a unweighted Suick?

I was involved in the design when it was converted from wood to plastic and I have a few.  Dan the originator of the bait wanted a very buoyant bait and it is.  The high buoyancy of the bait gives it a lot of action and it stays near the top.  I put rattles in the few I made for myself to help give it a little more hangtime.  I’m not sure if Dan is making them that way though.

Last month I got my hands on a couple of the new Plastic 9" Suicks.
I've been using Suicks for over 40 years and when I first saw the plastic Suick,I was a little apprehensive. Ihad the chance to use it on my last vacation and I really like it. I think Suick has another winner. My flock of Suicks will be growing.
