I think they are closed, or he only works a few days a week.

Take your reels to smokeys musky shop  in Pewaukee. Smokeys has a reel repair guy that drops off your  fixed reels weekly. 262-691-9659 I think it is badger reel repair.

I left him 5 reels in June, including 2 calcuttas and a millionaire cv-z, and have called him all summer with no luck. Does anyone have his personal phone number? I'm out over $1,000 worth of reels.

Had a similar thing happen to me when a shop closed and had a bunch of my reels in for repair. Never saw them again, and found out they had been sold closing out the shop. If you can't get in touch with them, ask for help from law enforcement...soon. Many things could have happened, and there may be no issue at all, but I wouldn't bet 5 reels on that.

If you need a ABU repaired, try Jenks Bait & Tackle on the Chip and get in touch with Randy. He charges $4 a reel plus parts, really good guy.

I took two Calcuttas, a rod with a missing guide, and an Abu 6500 into the "new" Easterlings knowing full well that Lew sold it to this new owner. The new owner apparently used to work in the Sporting Goods Dept. of Dunhams for many years. Well, after a couple weeks I started calling and inquiring and it took three phone calls between myself and them calling back before they confirmed they still had my three reels and one rod. . . Pretty dissipointing that they didn't keep my things together and couldn't keep track of them once they were seperated. Long story short, after $60 I got my reels back and rod, but my father inlaw picked them up so I didn't find out until they were in my hands that absolutely nothing was done to them. I called and complained and was so upset I didn't want to work with him on getting it straightened out. He said he "thought he got to them".. C'mon. Well he didn't, but I wasn't wasting gas and time driving back to the heart of West Allis to have someone I no longer trust try again.

He used electrical tape to wrap a new guide on my rod!! When I called him on that, too, he said that was the "new industry standard" to do that kind of work.. No, no it's not. I unwrapped it and did the work myself.

Good God ! It's just a matter of time before "Mr. Industry Standard" goes out of business, and rightfully so.

Sam - if you want superior service on your Calcuttas, get in touch with Pikemaster. He's done great work on my TEs.

Pikemaster will get the job done and will treat you well on timing and price, and is right here and available to find out how things are progressing. Dirve 30 miles anywhere else and you paid the shipping to him.

You can send me your reels USPS P - Mail or I'll be at all the shows this year, Chicago, Milwaukee, MN., and Wausaw, maybe Ohio and drop them off.
I get $24.00 a reel to Detail, Tune and Relube plus $8.00 for return shipping for one reel. I can do alot of upgrades and stock over $5,000.00 in reel parts. I have done Jim Saric, Chad Cain, Dick Pearson, and even the one and only Mike Hurbert famous LJV reels to name a few.

I dont know why people don't send their reels back to the manufacture. The manufacture has all the parts they need so there is no waiting for parts to be ordered and I've very rarely heard of any problems with any of the factory repair shops, in fact usually you hear about the exceptional service from them. And there is no waiting for weeks and months like from many of the local repair shops.

Pikemaster will be getting my reels once the season is done. I had one gone through by him earlier this year and it has worked great. Also he doesnt fix them with electrical tape.

They ended up charging me $60 to clean three reels. They didn't fix anything.

I picked up my calcutta 151 and could tell withing 2 seconds the drag was still shot. The other two reels were disassembled and the parts are in a box. Would you be able to put a real back together with a box full of parts?

I gotta say to try Dave's Reel Service. You can't go wrong with Dave's or Pikemaster.
