Just wondering if anybody uses these rods for sucker fishing. Look to be a good rod for cold weather. Or what is everybody's setup for there sucker rod? Thanks!

I just got one in the mail this week and ran some suckers with it today. A couple pickups on it and one boated. I wasn't running the rod but it handled the fish well and appeared to have plenty of power to rip the rig free from the sucker and drive the hooks home.

Not a lot of time on it yet but I like what I've seen so far.

Check out Chuck's Custom X trolling rod too. They run $189.99 but are well worth the money.

Ha! I wish! We boated one on it at 41.75" (and it was a hard fighter for it's length) which was my Dad's biggest by 1.75 inches, so that was exciting.
