What is every ones favorite brands to throw? I suppose I should say that I prefer either Double Cowgirls. Or I have recently been making my own, always fun to catch on your own stuff

You can make your own for a lot cheaper once you get over that initial cost of beads, clevises, wire, and bodies. Then it pretty much just comes down to blades and flashabou or whatever skirt material you use. I started making all my own stuff after I had a poor customer service experience with MM.

Yeah thats what I have noticed, at first it really isn't that much cheaper, but after the first two packs of each it goes down... I like making my own, something fun to pass the time. It will keep me especially busy in the winter when I am craving to get on the water. I like making my own colors as well.

In no way shape or form is making your own bucktails cheaper. You just end up with more bucktails than you could ever throw

Well when I can make 3 for the price of 1 double cowgirl I'll take the 2 extra baits to hang on the wall...lol

Haha that's the truth! I went Super model crazy one spring and built 20 of them and only use 5 or 6 of them.

I like Cowgirls and Gerry's Girls. The Cowgirls were my 1st Double 10 and have always worked well. I have a blue-silver/nickle that's been beat up by a lot of fish.

I also have a few Gerry's Girls and they have been putting some good fish in the boat for me as well, including a personal best a couple weeks ago. You can pick the colors and the prices are VERY good.
