Location: Hayward, WI | Moonset and 2 hours after for me. I would rather be out during moonset at noon than sunset with the moon up but that's just my experience. Doesn't seem to affect others as much but tend to not do as well when the moon is up. |

Location: La Crosse, WI | My vote is for the sunset, because even if the fish aren't cooperating its still the best time to be out on the water. |

Location: Chisholm, MN | Moonset, or moon down cause I like when the moon is not visible. I do better when the moon is on the other side of the earth. Who knows though? |

| Sunrise is a beautiful time. Calm with fog rolling out. Chilly. But not cold. |

Location: 31 | It depends on the time of year, weather conditions, and lake I am fishing as to what I prefer. All things being equal in the summer with stable conditions on water I know, I typically prefer sunrise. |

Location: oswego, il | I like overhead and underfoot too. Sunset can differ depending on what lake you are on. On some lakes it seems the first our of the last 90 minutes are good on some lakes and it shuts down 30 minutes before sunset. See it on stained water all the time. Sunrise is great on pressured waters so it really all depends on where I am at. |

Location: north central wisconsin | Seasonally, locational, and condition set dependant, for me, no doubt. Take yesterday for example, when the big fish window was high noon with the moon perhaps under elbow or shoulder. With that said, I fish when I can, though through the years have developed a preference as much for conditions I'd rather avoid, as times I prefer. With work and two kids, I like to think I'm able to fish as effectively or more than I did 15 years ago with much less time. Windows vary regionally and locally and can influence things as simple as choosing the river vs the lake 2 miles down the road based on conditions at hand. Start with any of your above basic timeframes depending upon the season and local weather/temps and you'll soon find yourself adjusting to your desired set.
