Location: NW WI | My oldest son (Ifishskis Jr.) and I were fortunate to have won a guided trip with Brett Chariton at this years Musky Nutz Outing. Brett guides out of the Rhinelander, WI area.
20 Minutes into the trip at the exact minute of "moon over" IFS Jr. caught a 42" chunky girl. At the time it was his new PB. But then 1.5 hours later IFS Jr. tied into another fish which turned into a new PB 47"er! Both fish were released after a few quick photos.
Sure Brett put us onto fish, but more importantly Brett worked hard for us. We had 2 suckers out and on this weedy lake and he was constantly making sure the suckers were swimming freely. On both of Jr's fish, the suckers were hit first, then a handful of casts later, IFS caught his fish. If Brett wouldn't have been paying attention to the suckers, boat position and our cast/retrieve techniques, we probably wouldn't have put these fish in the boat.
During the typical "no action" periods, Brett was engaging in his conversation while keeping our heads "in the game". On a cast at 4 PM I clipped some cabbage stalk and was reeling on a 3' stalk and right behind it was a lower/mid 40's fish! Brett made sure that our concentration was as good as it could be!
I heartily recommend Brett is you are looking for a guide in the Rhinelander area. You can reach him at 715.360.0788 or at: [email protected]

I've been fishing a few times this year with a guide, and it's been money well spent. I've really learned alot, and he's really opened my eyes. | |
