So over the years that I have been buying dawgs I have noticed that they stink right out of the package. Does anyone have a tip to remove that stink before I fish with them? I do notice that it does go away after being used for awhile. Any tips are greatly appreciated.

catch a bluegill or crappie, place the dead fish in big plastic bag with dawgs and let sit for acouple days. I dont do this cause I imagine it stinks like hell but i was told it works.

Ya, a musky coming in at 20mph will not really care. He is after that vibration and profile.

Heck, I love the smell of dawgs and tubes!! A couple of us always joke about how we enjoy that smell!! It triggers us into knowing its only a matter of time before they get crushed by a Muskie. It's the smell of success! Embrace it, enjoy it and learn to love that smell!! Come on... I know there's more out there that like how Dawgs, RO tubes and Curely Sue's smell???

Not really, but I do love the smell once I catch one on it! Nothing like the smell of musky slime.

Well thanks. I guess I know I should market that smell as a cologne now.
