So I live in utah, 10 miles from Pineview Res, amazing big tiger lake. I love to throw blades even though we dont catch many on blades. Biggest blades we throw are double 8's. I am looking for a reel that would be best suited for throwing double 8's. I have a toro 60 hs that i throw gliders and wtd baits but i need some help. I am looking at the revo toro 60 5:4, another 60 hs with power handle, or a curado 300ej.
What would you use if you wouldnt throw anything bigger than double 8's and will also pull cranks and big spinnerbaits? no big rubber
I know this topic has been pounded but I need some insight

Can't go wrong with any of them but if your adding cranks and spinnerbaits to the equation I'd go with the 5.4..

Ive used the hell out of my 300EJ this year for blades and have nothing but good things to say. 8's are exceptionally easy but I have thrown 10's without issue except for you will fatigue quicker due to its higher ratio IF you are trying to burn them all day. If you are just retrieving 8's you will be fine. I hardly feel any pull on 8's after mostly throwing 9's and 10's now.
