Marv,... Hit the wind blown Island shore lines this time of yr(Sept) near deeper basins (Big Bay, Frazier Bay ,Niles Bay,Wakem up Bay, Head of the Lakes Bay, Ect,ECT,...
Buck tails,Pounders, @ Sunset Topwater works, (sometimes)
If a cold front moves in try shallow for a FULL day.......... " Weeds " will hold some smaller fish (44-48") but the Big girls will be close to the Cisco's and Whitefish..

Water Temps 2 days ago were 66-67* Tomorrow will be 85* here than it WILL get cold,.. Night temps @ 35* or lower next week. Prime Flipping Time.

Hopefully I can get off of this 7 day a week work schedule.
Don't be afraid of the wind,,,
The wind is your friend.

I prefer the east. Big bay has a ton of shoreline to fish

Shallow rocks on east. Not much for weeds over there. Caught one nice fish and saw a few others in a couple hours. All came from under 3 ft of water. Go to lakevermilion.com there are some island campsites there are first come basis. Listed somewhere on that site.
