Sunday morning was a time to remember. My 8yr old son Ryan got his first and second muskies. Both coming in the figure 8. Probably the coolest time on the water for me by far.

Way to go Ryan!! I'll bet that was a lot of fun. Fishing with dad and being able to catch a muskie. It just doesn't get any better than that. Great job.
Hey Dad. I would be willing to bet my truck and boat that is one of the coolest things you've ever done on the water. Great job to you as well. I love seeing pictures like these. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Thanks guys! Yes Hunter you are correct ....it was by far the coolest thing so far for me on the water. He lost 2 at the boat earlier in the year so you can imagine how fast I had the net in hand. I got it all on the gopro so I will probly upload that after it gets edited

I guess these photos will give some people something to complain about.....I had him "hug" the fish for the photos. The last thing I wanted was a small green muskie twisting and ending up with a hand in the rakers. Just want to say sorry in advance. Thanks for all the congrats guys

Like I say "If you want to catch fish, fish for Bass. If you want to catch a memory, fish Muskie."
You nailed it! Awesome job. Can't wait to see the next one.

Don't agonize over the photo- It's a great shot of a young muskie hunter with his first fish. As toddm said, the smile says it all, I'll bet he also loved the release. Congrat's Ryan on a fine fish!

Thanks Steve. At the end of the season I will play with editing so I can make a little video for him. I hope he has a few more chances this fall. Hooked on muskies for sure

This is so awesome! Love to see kids catching fish! I still remember my first musky! Nothing like that feeling of accomplishment! Congratulations! Go get another one!

That is one of if not the coolest video I've ever seen Matt. When he says "I love this bait" I just about spilled my coffee all over the keyboard. Thats great.

Thanks guys! He is still on cloud 9 and ready to go again this weekend. One of the biggest reasons for buying the camera was to hopefully get his first on video....so glad it all worked out.
