| I caught the musky below (44in, 26lbs) on Eagle Lake (ON) during the week of 8/25/13. I was casting a purple #10 bucktail into shallow water on a rocky windward shore and the fish bit in the figure eight. The time of day was mid-afternoon and it was windy and cloudy with fronts moving across the lake and it was the morning after the first full moon. Fishing was tough and I casted for four days before finally getting a fish to eat. Each day we would raise 2 or 3 fish but they would sink away before following the bait into the eight. I got some follows during the week on gold Giant Flatsticks, magnum rapala (bl/silver/wh) and reg Medusas/Dawgs (gold/walleye) but no biters. On the day that I caught the fish I had 12 followers in a four hour period around two islands. We couldnt fish around these two islands once without seeing at least a couple fish charging out from the rocks to check out my bucktail. A great week overall and I wish I was still up there!

| I would be interested to hear from other people who were up at Eagle that week. Please let me know what your musky fishing was like. I should give it up to my guide Brian at Temple Bay for putting me on some great spots and thanks to Brad (also at Temple Bay Lodge) for coming up with some great bait choices.
