After 26 years of participating in the WI gun deer season I am hanging it up...at least for opening weekend. I may go out during the week when there are far less people in the woods.
Lack of hunter ethics and safety in county forest land has gotten to be more than I can handle and last season topped it off.
I'll be in my duck blind on Saturday morning and chasing muskies on the river in the afternoon. If a deer happens to swim past the boat maybe I can snag it with my Undertaker or Deep Diving Slammer Crank...[:devil:]

Here in Pa., our season opens on Monday Dec. 3rd. There will be no Bambi's here as Pa. has a new law this year. It used to be a spike 3 inches long or an antler with two or more points. Now, this year it has been changed to an antler with four or more points or nothing. However, doe season runs concurrent with buck season so it one has a doe permit ( I do ) they may take a doe. So, guys, it looks I'm either after Bambi's Daddy or Mommy, but I sure would love to get his Grampa.

| I have received the "kiss of death" from my parents. Last year they told me all about four different bucks they were seeing "all the time"! I never saw a buck during the day all season. (Which included an 11-pointer that showed itself during the evenings)
This year the have been seeing a 12-pointer with Two drop tines! It sounds like an "O-fer" in the making... Talk about
positive attitude!!!

| Im not sure but ill be in kansas city for 4 days this weekend.I DONT think theres musky's down there I dont hunt ,so there's one option out the window.And i dont think they ice fish.LOL or id bring tip ups! |

Saturday - work
Sunday - hunt with my 13 year old daughter
Monday - drive my injured buddy to an appt.
Monday afternoon - hopefully hunt
Tuesday and Wednesday - Chasing Madtown fatties with Sluggo
Thursday morning - hunt
Thursday afternoon - overindulge at the supper table then sleep
Friday back to work.
With any luck, I'll be done hunting by 10 on Sunday. That'll free up a few days to relax.

| My son (who’s 11) was going to sit with me this year to see if he might like gun hunting, but my wife brain washed him into thinking that he’ll die from CWD. So now he doesn’t want to go. I found out a long time ago with him that when there are suckers in the livewell, he likes to play with the suckers, he gets all wet and turns cold REAL fast. So musky fishing is out! I think were going down to the river and cast spinner’s and spoons for some trout and salmon. |

Tell your son and wife that CWD has been in Colorado for 20 years and NO ONE has every got sick or died....and its carried in the bone. We dont cut the bones. We eat only the finer parts, like back straps, steaks and tenderloins.

| I will be doing neither, unfortunately. I will be taking a flight to Belgium Saturday morning and my Thanksgiving week will be spent in a management leadership seminar....5th extended overseas trip this year. Ouch..I haven't fished or hunted this little in over 20 years. |
