| Has anyone tried this line out? It sounds nice, was curious how it holds up in the 80lb test. Thanks, BR |

| Don't trust it. Use the 130 if you are going to use it at all for any bigger baits. I recently spooled up with the 100# and took it to the pond by the house. I strapped on a one eyed willie which is a heavy walk the dog top water. The eighth cast with this new line and my bait snapped off on a clean cast and landed on the far shore. The 100 is like 65 in my opinion. It lacks the shock strength to repeatedly cast these heavy baits. Did an unscientific break test with a 5 lb. dumbell compared to some old 100lb suffix performance braid and the samurai snapped on a 3 foot drop. The suffix did not. The suffix and then cortland in the mix did not break after doing the same test five times. I took it back to the store and got spooled up with more cortland. |
