| Anybody ever fish with these? Overstockbait has Super Ciscos for $6.99. Surely they are worth that, right? I did a search and not much popped up except for people trying to sell them.

Location: Mt. Zion, IL | I have had good luck with them. They are very similar to a super shad rap, except they are plastic and have rattles. The hooks are a little light for my liking, but in general, they are good baits. |

| I think you can get a Rapala Super Shad rap for about 3 or 4 dollars more. Do it! They put off more vibration, have better hooks, and have a stronger lip than the Super Cisco. No rattles, but they catch lots of fish. In fact, I believe the Super Cisco is an exact replica of the Super Shad rap, just lower quality. |

Location: Land of the Musky | email me if you want. I can send you some pictures of what a Dorado does to a balsa lure vs mine which are made from high impact ABS. I have a lot of South American (and other) outfitters moving their lures over to Super Ciscos due to the durability of the ABS. |

| I like them both. Like teh Super Ciscos as I can get them deeper/faster but I also like teh Rapala as tehy seem to pop up a lot faster and I can woprk tehm a littel more shallow in the spring. Never had any issues with either. What I do like about the Super Cisco is that it comes in about any color you would ever want. |

Location: Kingston, Ontario | Had issues with shad raps being destroyed after 1 fish. If you get a bite into the wood the bait is usually cooked. My experience is the Rapalas last one fish and then can be hung up as a $15 reminder of that fish. |

Location: Nowhere near where I should be | same shape, two different baits. side by side, only one gets attention from fish out of my boat. The super cisco, a very solid built bait, is not that one. ill spend 15.00 on a bait that catches fish even if it doesn't last that long. I've got some with 15+fish and they are still running, this one had two. but if i wasn't running it that day it might not have ended up like this. Both great baits, only one is better for me. And obviously results will vary.

I think Jagger will disagree with you Jason Just got this picture from his proud father. Just sent Jagger the monster sized version of the Super Cisco as his "prize" for such a great musky caught on the Super Cisco lure. He is getting an 11" Mag Shad. Can't wait to see what he gets with that. I think this little guy is hooked for life now!

Location: syracuse indiana | i will fully agree. i love both baits, well the suspending shad rap( you can only buy them online , not the usa..) and i have broke several lips off of them.. i have used james baits for the last few years and they hold up. i have even drilled them and weighted them with oil, (with james help) and made them suspend too. they hold up alot better than basa repala's do.. but they both do have their place in the boat.. thanks...bill |

Location: syracuse indiana | also as a side note.. get a lure turner and run a very thinned out coat of devcron 2 ton epoxy and that will not change the bait but it will stop the fish from sinking teeth into it.. garrenteed |

| El Dorado is famous for being a destroyer of lures !!!
There is a movie where Larry Dahlberg fishing dorados.
Well, the dorados cut "in two" lures made in solid resin as if they were made of butter !!!!
The super cisco are excellent lures: they are resistant to dorados and if they are resistant to dorados means that they are excellent lures !!!
You just change the rings and treble hooks if you want to fish for dorados !!!

Location: Land of the Musky | I sell a lot of my Super Ciscos to S America for Dorado and Peacock Bass fishing as well as guys going after Tarpon. Here are a few pics of some happy customers. There are some crazy big/strong fish down there! A 2 week fishing trip to S.America is high on my "bucket list" of things to do someday.

Location: Nowhere near where I should be | Well, James, there is nothing wrong with your baits , as i stated (very solid baits), and here are now posted varied results i had mentioned I gave my findings and nothing more. After thinking on it a minute most of the cranks i catch fish on are silent, it could be the water im fishing? Or the preference of a silent bait by those fish. How about this, do you make the super ciscos w/out rattles? I have disected your bait to get the rattles out and wrecked 2 of them finding the through wire. I have cut them in half, and will say it again very solid baits. |

Location: Land of the Musky | figure8out-I have had mixed comments on rattle in musky baits. It would be interesting to see the stats on muskies caught per hour using baits with rattles vs baits without rattles. Actually I bet we could do a search in the Muskies Inc database and simply capture Jakes vs Grandmas. 2 similar looking baits but one with and one without rattles. Not sure but I think almost all Jakes models have rattles and Grandmas do not but I do remember a few older Grandmas had them at one time maybe??? To many lures! |
