| Well the season has ended for me. L.O.T.W'S has iced up, so there will be now more trips for me. Summer was slow for muskies but I have never seen the walley fishing any better. Lots of fish with numbers of pigs caught. This was my first serious fall fishing for muskies. I did pretty good with two 45" and 4 in the 35 to 38 range for about 7 days of fishing in total. Had a total of 10 for the boat. Again, it was only my first fall of hard fishing but some how I thought it could have been alot better. Water temps dropped rapidly with the coldest October on record. The water just kept dropping in temp and never stopped all october. Usully the water will hold about 45 for at least 3 or 4 weeks before dropping down to frezzing. People I talked to, did not get the numbers this year as in previous years. How did everyone else find this fall to be.

| We've seen a similar scenario here in NJ with colder temps coming on strong recently but we've still got time before ice up. Things seemed to have really slowed down the last week in October possibly because of the rapid cooling. I'm hoping that with the water temps still in the high 40's they'll turn on again before the ramps are iced over. WE boated 16 fish this year compared to 21 last year with the biggest both years being 41 inches. | |

| Don't put it away yet! There's another couple weeks left and I'm planning an Iowa trip here in the next couple weeks. More info on that to come.
This fall was good and bad. Tougher then last year, but I got some nice fish all the same. The cold Oct really screwed things up. We never got much time in the "sweet spot" between 45-55 deg. I personally did better then last year, but I didn't see nearly as many. | |
