Have a Muskie Innovations Bulldog "evolution" series spring/bucktail rod that the rear cork (the last 5") are quite soft (sort of a mushy feeling) in which the cork is so soft it is peeling & breaking up. It seems the last 5" of cork was added on. Any ideas or recommendations on who can fix the problem in Plymouth, Minnesota. I may even go for a new handle entirely. It seems that these rods have some inferior cork handles.
Got the rod from Thorne bros back in April at a tent sale. Contacted them and the 30 day warranty is over, however they gave me the email for Muskie Innovations so I could contact them since the rods are under factory warranty. I've emailed them 2x in the last 2 weeks and no reply yet.
In fact the other rod I bought at the same time Bulldog Evolution Magnum rod handle is soft (you can squeeze the handle). Both seem like prior to putting the handles on they were reamed out too much. Trying to get them repaired or getting new handles put on. Ideas are appreciated

Buy some cork rings and do it yourself. Pretty darn easy. I use 2 part epoxy from a hardware store but if you buy the rings from Mudhole I'm sure they can recommend an epoxy specifically for cork.

He's right, I found out sunday the reel seat was spinning on my bulldawg rod and I already have a replacement in hand because I'm heading to lake of the woods on friday...still have to return the old one and money refunded but he was great in getting the job done. I would suggest calling and leaving a message but calling back occasionally until you speak to Rick.

James from Tackle Industries helped me Extend a rod handle for a 9xxh I bought from him. It was a simple process. I would email James or send him a PM for some suggestions.
