This is a neat site you can use to get the feel for the lay of the waters you fish, plus any shot, anywhere, of any piece of land. One can zoom in and look at one's roof, right there in the photo![]

I use it to set up deer stands on land I am not terribly familiar with, and to look for funnels, etc on the land I am.

I've used it for a while now. Great tool. There are also a couple other sites. I will post them when I get a chance. One out of Florida lets you fly over an area. Pretty cool stuff.

You can also use the aerial photo function on MapQuest.com. MapQuest can make it a little easier to find your starting point at times.

If the lakes that you are looking at are relativley clear you can spot weed beds, rock humps, lots of structure. Very valuable for scouting a new body of water.

Yah, I've been using this for a few years now too. It sucks when the pictures were taken when the lakes are iced over or on windy days... but they are still fun to look at.

I scouted Cave Run last year before the MF outing. The pictures were taken in February... so it gave me an idea of where the reservoir has more current and what areas actaully get iced over. Didn't help me catch any fish... but it was fun to see it before I got there!!!!
