| Just got a Humminbird 1158c a few months ago and most times when it is first turned on it doesn't show any depth reading or anything about depth. If I shut it down and restart the unit it then shows up right away. Is there a setting that causes this or is the unit or transducer defective? | |

| you may want to contact Humminbird about that. if you haven't registered your unit with Humminbird, it would be good to do that. That way you will get notification about updates and such. it may be an update has a glich in it. if you haven't yet, you can try updating the latest version to your unit. there are some tips on how to do that on the Humminbird website as well as youtube. And of course the obvious, check to see if the transducer connection is loose(: | |
