For those of you who make the rounds, and get to a bunch of shows...if you could pick one to go to which would it be?

I like Chicago for the sake of it's the first and getting the anxiousness out of the way. But it's elbow to elbow.

Ohio is probably my favorite.

Plenty of elbow room at the Michigan show!

Vendors run out of the latest and greatest merchandise after Chicago frequently. Especially custom color baits. If that's you're thing , Chicago is the one to get to. Elbow to elbow to say the least though.

I usually attend the Chicago and Milwaukee musky shows and this year went to the 1st musky show in Wausau. I really enjoyed the Wausau show. Smaller venue but they had great speakers (loved Tony Rizzo) and it was not crowded on the Friday night I went which gave you a better opportunity to talk with the vendors. I will for sure go to the Wausau show again this year.

I go to both Harper college(Chicago) and the Milwaukee shows . I know everyone counts on the Chicago show because it's the first , but from my experience the Milwaukee show is a much better show over all. Vendors still have custom colors and new baits , also the atmosphere is more geared to buying and selling . I tend to stay longer at the Milwaukee show compared to Chicago and spend more money. Maybe because I can buy beer ?

Hands down, Milwaukee. Looking forward to attending the Wausau show for the first time this year, hopefully. Sucks it's on the last weekend of gamefish season and usually booked guiding.

I've only done either the Milwaukee show or the Chicago show. Loved them both!

The milwaukee show is a more relaxed atmosphere and very easy to personally talk to people with enough room in the isles.

The chicago show has some of the best speakers,  and vendors, BUT the isles are packed, very loud, and hard to speak to vendors in the isles....TOO CROWDED!!!

IMO

I've been to Minnesota show,Chicago and Milwaukee. My ratings are
1) Milwaukee, I liked that they had a water tank brought in for some seminars and the bait makers to run their baits in to see them at eye level. Rather than looking down through the glare of the pool. The lure swap is at a hotel where everybody is staying.so you can have a couple beers and not have to drive and find your way in an unfamiliar town.Liked the fact that there were two different seminars going on at the same time. Musky Road Rules ran their seminars the same time as the show had their own.

2)Chicago, first show of the year,if dealers or bait makers have custom baits or clearance baits you get first shot. And the show breaks up the winter

3)Minnesota,I don't have to drive 6 hours to get to it. I wish that it was at a place where there was more convenient parking and was earlier in the year.

I'd love to try the Minnesota show, but why can't make it a bit earlier in the year ? If I have the cabin open, then that's where I'm going to be on the weekend...

Why not the the Wausau Show. Less people more time to spend one on one with the venders. The New London Show is cool too, lesser known venders there and a real pool demo,I think they still have it... Just keeping your options open... Paul

Michigan Show is great. Smaller crowd allows you to talk to some great pros and guides. Also some great seminars. Still plenty of gear left as well. I went last year and it was very beneficial. Got to talk to Spencer Berman for a while and got some good info/tips. As much as a guide would give at least. Also spent some time talking with Tony Grant and ended up taking a trip down to Cave Run because of it. Hes got a great setup down in Kentucky and some true HOGS in Cave Run!

Minnesota show might be earlier next time

I go to Chi/milw/wassau/Minn

Chi show is a blast,,first one of the year speaket lineup is unmatched,,HUGE swapmeet and Chicago style pizza

Minnesota show has the best deals,,Reeds and Thornes will duke it out here I think they get pride involved also promoter can usually get abu/Berkley to run some special deal,,swapmeet is fun with most baits selling in the $5 range

Wassau was great,,EVERYTHING is right there the patriot center is beutiful and its surrounded by a shopping mall, liqour store many restaurants and several hotel/motels all you can walk to,,I know of guys who parked their trucks for three days and never started them once because they didnt have to drive for anything,,this one might be the one in the future

Milw is fun and the show hotel is great, pool, bar, swapmeet in the same building but I wish they would move the show out of the horse barn into something nicer also you have to pay for parking
