I've trolling Depthraiders at 4mph the last few months and had some success but have been skunked the last 6 or 7 times out. I tried Jakes, Grandma's, Shad Raps and Rapala j-13's from 3-4.5 mph along the weedline (worked last year good)but to no avail. The water has been 49 degrees during this fishless time, any suggestions???

I'll suggest 2 options:

1. Try a big spoon such as the Eppinger 300 at about 3 1/4 to 3 1/2 mph. Work it tight to the weedline, and also out from the weedline.

2. Put on a weighted Sledge, and run it down the weedline at 4.5 to 6 mph. Some people will tell you the water is too cold for this tactic. Muskies can't read "rules"; you never know until you try. My last fish of 2002 came on a Sledge at 5.5 mph in 39F water... it was "only" a 45"er.
