they are slow sinking gliders and i guess the action is pretty close to hellhound glide |

| SolarFall great work as usual, awesome detail. I am in the process of painting a similar style lure, I have it primed. Can you list the steps for painting and what you are using for a stencil for the stripes, I think painters tape will be too tacky and might remove layered paint if I am not clearing the lure in-between layering. Are you layer painting and using stencils in-between clearing the lure or just painting the whole lure in all on shot? Any info would be helpful. Thanks

Location: Finland | the pike is one of the most simple baits to paint heres how i do it .
- cover most of the body with olive green
- i net the sides with tulle and spray them gold
- i add some olive green and black on the back
- then i do the striped patterns on the sides with a stencil and do the fins if i feel like doing those. and thats pretty much it and its time to add the eyes and clearcoat the lure.
mostly i use as the stencil material this paper that has a shiny almost plastic kind of film on it, great stuff i can re-use it over and over again sadly i haven't got a clue what's it called, i hardly ever secure it with tape i just hold it pinching it with my thump.
here's a jointed version of the same bait as in the 1 post.
