| Do they still put line on the reel for free, when you buy a reel? I am going to give them a call soon, I was just wondering. Thanks. |

Location: Right behind you (tap, tap) BOOO | I bought a Curado 300Ej this summer and I asked about line, they gave me a "deal" @ .10 per yard on Suffix 832. I went in there assuming it would be spooled free of charge. |

| That must be new, previous reels I purchased from them all came with line. BR |

| I don't think they give free line anymore. But I think if you ask you can get it for free, or get a discount. I like to buy at Joe's sporting Goods, they give free line anytime you buy any reel; and although they don't have as many musky reels as Thornes; they have a pretty decent selection of musky reels. |

| Just bought a new Calcutta at Thorne Bros a week ago and i was charged for the line. I assumed it was free from prior purchases until i looked at my reciept. Oh well! It was nice while it lasted. |

Location: London, England | I can imagine a shop spooling up with Mono for nothing, as it costs virtually nothing. Putting superline on for free though would use up all the profit in the reel, maybe and then some! |

The last 4 reels I bought from them they did line for free. I have not bought a reel in some time, but it made me a customer when it came to other lures and supplies. I certainly hope they still do it. H |

They don't, as mentioned above. Costs cut into the bottom line too much in this day n' age...
I bought 3 new Calcutta's recently along with 3 rods plus a wheelbarrow full of baits and had to pay for the line. Not FULL price but not free either. Can't blame 'em really.
I could'a griped ... and Pat would've just shown me the door....:-))
Great store, period. Haven't been to Joe's in along time. Hope they can continue that service.
