Location: On the Niagara River in Buffalo, NY | Yesterday some low life robbed all my St.Croix Legend Tournament. & Legend Elite Rod.& Reel Combos from my boat while I was in Walmart at Jamestown, NY. 10 rod & reel combinations valued over $4800.I'm really sick about this,it had to be someone who knew what I had in the boat, they stepped over 6 trolling rods and had to move 3 tackle boxs to get in the rod locker in full daylight.Would'nt you know I park in the one part of Walmart's lot that has no cameras. All rods have Custom Built For Capt Larry D Jones on them.Any info that leads to there recovery is worth $1000 Reward.

Location: Roscoe IL | Would Walmart be responsible since this happened in their lot? No security cameras at a Walmart pk lot in New York.. That's just nuts! You cant roll through a stop sign in Bum $uck Nebraska and not get pinched by a camera.. |

| Probably thought of this already, but the thief might try an auction site or Craig's list not realizing your name is not just some model name on the rod, like a Derek Jeter bat. If that's the case, he'd describe the rod on the phone perfectly and you could visit him with cop in tow. Boy, that would feel pretty good to see the look on his face. |

Location: Pigeon Forge TN. | Sorry to hear about the bum luck Capt. Larry. I agree with junkman and hope they screw up big time. Love to see thieves get nailed and put away. If I was able to locate them you could keep your reward my friend. I would just like to see you get them back. Too stupid to realize the value of the tackle. |

| Sorry to hear the bad news.Homes owners insurance will cover you. In the early 90,s i stopped at Taco Bell in Stevens Point and some Nob stole my Muskie box with alot of irreplaceble lures that arn,t made anymore.Homes owners covered me with 1400.00.My next trip up to N Wisc i stopped in at R@H and went hog wild! I would have killed the bastard who stole my stuff. As you all know we become attached to some of our lures .Jags from AML gave me a few of his Grandpas old bucktails that were taken as well as alot of older discontinued models. At least i was on my way home from fishing. |

Location: Des Moines IA | I am pretty sure, as you probably found out, certain things need additional riders on your home owners. Like Jewelry, Guns, Antiques, etc, etc. I doubled up my boat rider on gear and electronics to 10K, with a 100$ deductible. Would have to have to payout of pocket to replace all that stuff, and it was actually affordable to add as a rider on my boat policy.. |

Prob was drug addicts,
I doubt it as they passed up the easier rods/reds to ferret out some higher dollar items. They must have known that those rods/reels were worth more. I don't think drug addicts. |

Location: Northern Wisconsin | Just a tip if you're looking for stolen stuff. For craigslist, use google and type: "site:craigslist.org" followed by and whatever you're looking for.
Example: site:craigslist.org st. croix musky rods
This will bring up all listings for musky rods on craigslist. A lot easier than picking locations and repeatedly searching. You can even type in the state (site:craigslist.org st. croix musky rods new york) if you want to be more specific.
For ebay, you can search the item and sort by "newly listed" so you don't have to keep looking at the same stuff.

My bet is that it's no fishermen doing the stealing i this case but instead it's probably meth heads doing it. |

| Larry,
Just horrible news. Guaranteed that they know you and your boat. Crackheads don't by-pass trolling rods and reels to get the prettier blue ones and risk going into a rod locker in the middle of the day. They don't know the difference between the equipment anyhow. Horrible to think that it could be people that you've taken out and shared a day with but it sure sounds like that's the reality of this situation.
Like many suggested, keep an eye on the places easiest to ditch the hot gear. They will absolutely show up somewhere for sale.
Best of luck.
