There have been lots of topics about this so if you do a search you can probably find a lot of info. For me, the MagSuperD seems to hop a lot in the water compared to the magdawg which seems to glide straight in the water. I like the SuperD when fish are active and the magdawg when fish are a little inactive. You can bend/adjust both baits to get them to do different things, but that is what I have noticed from most baits out of the box.

I like the new Dawgs a lot more than the "Original". From what I have read the "Original" dawgs are why the SuperD lures are here. Personally I stopped using the original dawgs years ago. The SuperDs with the coil harness in them are super tough. I was at the Milwaukee show last year and talked with Brad. He showed me the new coil harness in the new dawgs and it looked identical to the SuperD coil harness so my worries on the dawgs are no more for the harness popping through the nose of the bait. Just paying 30% more for them is a little hard when both lures are made the same. I do like dawgs though for different situations. While the dawgs and SuperDs do look similar they do work differently and both have homes in my tackle box. I also like colors from both companies and they definitely complement each other on color selections. Dawgs seem to glide a little further and the SuperDs have more of a hopping action except for the 4oz shallow reg SuperD which has a very nice glide to it. Not mentioned here but I also like the twin tail rubber swimbaits form Rubber Hairy. Those look very nice and you definitely need a few of those too.
