I was on the water this past weekend and nothing was working so for fun I threw on a Top Raider and worked it real slow, got one fish to look at it but no strike:( anyways do you guys/gals still throw topwater and bucktails even when the water temps are in the low 40's high 30's ??? I was told not to but is there a general rule??

The zig zag topwaters have proven themselves to be effective all the way to ice up. Also, an angler here in Rhinelander used to throw the Snodlow all the way to ice up, with some true pigs coming as late as the last week of November.

I usually phase out topwater in defference to Undertakers and Reef Hawgs by the beginning of November, but may be missing some opportunities!
