How many of you guys cancelled or postponed your trips up north due to high water temperatures? The lakes I enjoy fishing are all above 80 so even if I had the oportunity to go right now I think I would in good concious have to wait it out.

I haven't fished muskies in a couple weeks. Should be OK on a couple lakes tomorrow evening, rain and a front on the way.

I drove all the way up (3.5 hrs) and didn't fish. Just too hot to ensure survival, not that you can ever be 100% sure.

I haven't fished for awhile in central minnesota. The musky leagues have been cancelled.

Hopefully, some rain will lower water temps soon and get things back to normal.

The out of state guides up here (northern MN) haven't been cancelling any trips as far as I have heard. I know some locals who have hung it up for a while. I haven't been out around here since the end of June so I don't know what the current temps are.
I was north of Kenora last week and had 80 degree surface temps one day up there so the heat is everywhere. The good thing is that the big lakes have a lot of cool water under the surface so as long as people are being smart about it, it might not be that big of a deal.
