Location: Smith Creek | No, but ask us in January if we can beat your low temps. That reminds me, I need to start growing out the beard and packing on the cellulite. Winter's just around the corner. |

Location: Lebanon,Mo | We broke our records for the month of June down here. Water temp has been over 90,and not even wanna talk about the heat. At least mowing the yard is over... |

Location: Madtown, WI | How hot did Rhinelander get? NWS is showing a high of 93 and the record for the 16th is 97, I'm confused.
Either way you shouldn't complain too much, Madison is going to hit 100 again today and I've lost track on how many temp records we've broken then factor in the severe drought. Fun summer... I think this is the first time I'm looking forward to winter. |

| Yah, we've broken just about every heat record down here. Twice as many 90+ days already as we usually see in a summer, when the hottest days are usually a month away yet. Grass has been brown since June. We've actually got trees dropping leaves here. I am presuming that's a combination of drought and heat, but I've never seen it before. Local ponds have turned to soup. Lots of floaters of every species out there, water levels are stupid-low. |

| The electronic temp. monitor on the shady side of our cottage, a few miles east of Rhinelander read 95 yesterday afternoon. We are building a garage and before we went to lift a 30 ft wall with the header for a 16 foot door, I put on a pair of work gloves because I was sweating so much I was worried I would lose my grip and did not want that puppy coming back down on me.
After I got done, I took a quick swim and it was strange in that I swam out about 50 yards and the lake was hot/cool/warm, all within a couple yards. |

| It hasn't hit 100 yet, but it is very uncomfortable in SW PA. 96 degrees F. yesterday. 90 is predicted for today. Thus far, this is the warmest year on record. Thus far, the average daily high temp. is 4.9 degrees above the norm, for the year. I woke up this morning with my T-shirt damp with sweat. No jive.
I new it was going to be this way when dafodils were blooming here in the second week of March. The only hope is that this is an anamalous year; and not the onslaught of global warming. |
