| I did the search, and there is alot of info on this rod. But I am wondering what everyone is using for pounders and like baits, as far as telescoping, or solid blank in a 9ft. rod? I havent really seen anyone say they were using one or the other. Is there a drastic difference in the two? Will the tele handle the big baits? sure would be nice for storage. Any thoughts????? |

| I have the telescopic handle xxh and throw pounders with no problems at all. Works great and loads well with big rubber. |

Location: Bemidji, Lake Vermilion | Telescopic works fine, no issues. Throw pounders on it regularly and with ease. Ability to reduce the length is really really nice for storage and transport. |

Location: Land of the Musky | Definitly get the XXH and for tele vs solid, its kind of up to your storage issues. If you have not storage issues in the boat get the solid IMO. The telescopic is very nice if you have any tight boat storage or you like to take the rod in your car.
PS-The new 8'XXH solid will be ready to ship next week!!! |

| I agree with Brian above. Great rod for throwing the heavy stuff plus the ability to reduce the length is sweet! |
