| Last night at 9:45 I caught and released my longest fish to date a 57.5 incher! She came on a new prototype lure from Big momma lure company. Its a walk the dog bait that moves a ton of water much like a weagle. I use a very short rod for these baits at 5ft long and let me tell you this fish owned me! I still have lots of dates to fill for the year if anyone is interested. Thanks and good luck the rest of the season.

Jason only thing that I question is why you don't have the largest smile in the world holding that Monster! Was it really that heavy you couldn't smile?
Congratulations again! |

Muskyhunter47...the boat spun away from the setting sun...just a difference in the liting. Nobody is better at handling big fish. The pics make it obvious they were all snapped within seconds of each other. |

| Amazing...let me ask though. Did she come up in a wake and hammer it, come out of no where and slam it or was it more of a suddle nip? Just trying to imagine. Good work...now go get a bigger one. |

Location: Bloomington, MN | Congratulations Mr. Hammernick! I'm even sure Mr. Art Lyons is cheering you on from heaven. In your post you mentioned using a 5' rod. That probably has made a bit of a sales impact on 8-10' rods. I'm 5' 7" and suffer from vertigo, so the top deck is off limits unless I want to go for a swim. I've been using 6'-6' 9" rods for WTD type baits, so why a 5 footer??? You are like E. F. Hutton of the muskie world, so throw us a bone! Maybe some of my tackle will become "trendy" again. |
