3 casts into her first trip to Vermilion and she gets her first one. A chunky 45 incher. The smile says it all.

Great post Bob. Nice fish indeedy.

A couple seasons back I cast for 8 days, raising a few mildly interested fish. My college kid comes up, makes 3 cast and gets two fish, one was 46"!!!

Told him one more fish and he's going swimmin'!! July time...I was serious :-))

Congrats. Love that smile.

Jeremy.

The posts above are correct. You can see a muskie if you look at the picture long enough!!

Don't let that one get away.

It's rare we get a cover shot that great, for every reason stated in this thread. Hope the fish treated you well the rest of your trip!

Thanks guys. As far as the rest of the trip, well after those big storms rolled through it kind of shut em down....as we all know the V can be cold hearted! Her getting that first one was worth the whole trip anyway. Also it was kind of a family deal, so I really couldnt pound as hard as I normally would. All in all I think it was successfull!

Notice the subject of the post "Happy girlfriend." When she becomes the wife it will be a picture of her holding your apple bag, not a beautiful musky.
