| Im intressted in getting a Okuma Evx 8,6 4-12 oz for rubberbaits Mag dawg etc., anyone here who have experience of this rod? nice rod or not?

Location: Suspended | If its a rod that is specifically for rubber, I would suggest something different, these work good for bucks, small rubber, but nothing very big. |

| I'd agree, I have one and love the action for cranks and flinging bucktails, but doesn't handle bigger rubber real well, I'd go to the 8'6" xxh if you want to stay in the Okuma line at that length of rod. |

| Eh, I'd stay away from these rods if you are looking to throw big, heavy baits. But, they do have lifetime warranties. I'd worry that will snap with the heavy baits. |

| ive never handled the 8'6xh but from having an 8'6 H and reading other opinions youd be better off with the 8'6 xxh...the okumas in general have a bit of a softer tip i believe |

Location: Menomonee Falls, WI | I have a several of the Okuma EVX rods and have never had any issues. I use the 8'6" XXH to throw big rubber and it works just fine. 2 years now and no problems. IMO, they are a good rod for the money. |

| i have the 9'3" XH and love it. i can just about every bait i own and throw pounders quite a bit with it. |

| I've used my 9'3" XH for a couple years now hard casting pounders all day w/no issues, you have no worries they will not break. The 9'3" XH also works well for big blades. |

| I have one of the 8'6 xh and the 8'6 xxh. I love them. For the money I don't think you can beat them. They do have a bit of a softer tip, but the xxh throws dawgs just fine. I have not thrown a 2lber with it so I can't tell you about those. Also the TI rods are great for the money. |

Location: Lake County Illinois | I pretty much have all the okuma rods in the telescopic series and love them all,great rods with a great price and warranty.I think youd be better off with the 8'6"xxh or the 9'3"xh for mid to large rubber.I love my 8'6"xh but it does have a softer tip and its my favorite rod for bucktails smaller then double 10s and small to medium cranks. |

Location: Northern Indiana | I pretty much agree on what has already been said. My father and I have been using the 8'6'' XH and the XXH for several seasons. The XH is our choice for throwing magdawgs. When it is time to throw pounders we break out the XXH. I use the XH the majority of the time however. It is noticeably lighter that the XXH and I can throw it all day without fatigue. The lifetime warranty seals the deal with Okuma rods.
I am going to purchase the 9'3" XH soon !
