I am going to the Chippewa Flowage in late July this year. I am looking to get a guide for the first day. Any Suggestions? Also will the temps be harmful here? I heard that rivers are fine for warm water. Thanks guys!

Never fished with either, but I've heard good things about Sennett and Dorazio. I've talked to Sennett a little online and at the musky shows and would have no problem spending a day in his boat.

I shouldn't say never, but it isn't too often the lakes in this area get too hot to fish. If we have a long heat wave with little rain maybe, but I would guess the water will be just fine when you come up.

I have to put a good word in for John Dettloff of Indian Trail Resort. He's a great guide as well!

My vote would be Ty but he might be booked up for when you are going up.

My only experience with a guide on the Flowage was with Dorazio. I had a great time. you can't go wrong with Ty either.

I have been out with Larry Ramsell a few times on the Big Chip, he does a very fine job guiding there also.

Genson doesn't fish the Flowage hardly at all. The other guys mentioned are all good and a guy no one has mentioned yet is Pete Rich.

I fished last Monday with Ty. He is a awesome guide and a good dude. Second time with him. He put me on two fish just couldn't get the bucktails to stay in their mouths. He is dialed in on that lake, so if they are biting he'll know where to be.
