Spending the week of the 4th of July at Lost Island Lodge out of Hudson, Ontario on Lac Seul. First ever trip to Lac Seul, and I can't wait!

Its going to be a multi species trip, but will definitely be putting in a good % of time and effort on muskies and big pike. Managed to convince Colin Gosse to book us for an evening muskie hunt, but that's all we could get due to his schedule. Will obviously pick his brain as much as possible, but looking for any other advice re: structure to fish (rock/wood/cabbage), baits, colors, etc.

Looking at maps, its hard to narrow down where to fish. I know Chamberlain Narrows is a popular spot, but it looks to be a real haul to get there from Lost Island Lodge. In between there are so many islands, points, saddles, reefs that it's a bit overwhelming. So any areas to fish would also be helpful . . . i.e. Grassy? The Rags? Bear Narrows?

Thanks in advance!

Wondering how your trip went? Going up next month. and look to do some Muskie hunting. Have been fishing Lac Seul for almost 40 years. Almost 100% of the time for walleyes. I have read on other forums that from manito to devils elbow is a good place to start. I have been to Chamberlin but it is a long boat ride. I would either do a houseboat or outpost camp if I were to fish that far out. Anyway was wondering if you had any luck, or advice on spots, lures tactics etc.? Thanks in advance. Jon
