How tuff is it to launch a boat? I have a 17ft. Crest. with a roller trailer but I pull it with a full size van. Thanks.

Well, if you're careful and back in perfectly straight you're fine. If you're cocked a bit towards the drivers side, there's a nice boulder sitting about a foot under the water that's been decorated by more than a few hulls over the years.

If its the one I was at.... Yes rocks on both sides of the landing... Not level at all... Usually all washed out from rain with ruts that can be over a foot deep depending on when the last time they worked on it... Limited parking and not real easy to turn around... Just what I have seen the time I was there once... Lakes also got rock bars a foot under the water...

We were heading back to the landing one day last year and heard this tremendous crunch and lots of scraping. As we got closer we discovered a shiny white ski boat balanced on one of those rocks, and two young guys standing in the water on either side of the boat staring at it. The sound of them pulling ot OFF the rock was even worse. We didn't stick around to see what happened, but they never did launch their boat that day. There's room for a handful of trailers at the landing, but good luck on a weekend. Oh, and if you block the driveway to your right as you are facing the landing, your truck and trailer will be gone when you get back.

The tips on the landing and rock bars on the lake are all good advice----It can be challenging so be cautious---even after you have the boat in the water !!! It is a beautiful lake and has some nice fish in it---Might have to put some time into it to learn it---Tons of structure out there to go over----Good Luck.

Location: N.FIB | I`ve never had trouble at the landing as far as hitting a rock putting in,guess I know how to back up strait, yes very limited parking and don`t park on the side by the house,it will get towed.good lake to fish as long as one of the colors of your lure is black, don`t go fast around the lake, new reefs grow every yr. |
