Location: Muskegon Michigan | There are a couple of remnants in there from years ago. The Locals hated the Muskies and wanted a put and take Walleye fishery. The few that are still in there are pretty big. There may even have been a very small amount of natural reproduction. Its a big lake and almost no Muskies. Close buy is a weedy little lake named Lower Crooked which is by Plainwell. You could try there. Mike |

Location: Grand Rapids, MI | Yes, like Mike said, needle in a haystack. There were tigers stocked in there back in the day, but those should all be gone by now. What is left is a remnant population of natural muskies. Every couple years, a giant is speared, and some local bait shops say they hear of some follows every so often. There are many good muskie sticks that try their luck every so often and come up empty handed. Lower Crooked could be a good bet, or 15 min away is campau lake. A little 120 acre lake that gets regular stocking. Crooked may be too weed choked when you go at that time. Austin lake is about 30 min or so South as well. |

Location: Grand Rapids, MI | You can find decent sized largemouth & rock bass there. Pike grow to around 44". (Biggest I've heard of recently) There are a ton of hammer handles there too. |

Location: Grand Rapids, MI | Murray is about 1hr away, Thornapple about 45 maybe? They both have hawgs, Thornapple holds the state record. Its a tough tough tough lake. Murray is clear and 80' deep, Thornapple is murky, 25' deep. |

Torch holds the state record?
Should've clarified.
Torch holds the record for great lake strain
Thornapple holds the record for northern strain

| if you are going to hit campau on the weekend, you will leave hating it as the traffic will be completely insane and rude people everywhere.
Be prepared to have people drive in front of you while you cast consistently |

Well, that all depends on if his trip is before or after Labor Day. Or, after the first day of school. Sept is my favorite month once everyone with the pleasure boats stay home! |

| it shouldn't be too bad then. Just make sure if you do hit campau you are still best off earlier in the day, or after dinner typically to avoid clowns |

| monday u should be fine, and most lakes will be empty. Even the most pressured lakes only have 1 or 2 boats on the weekdays and they may not even be musky guys |
