| Hi All,
I know throwing soft plastics and bucktails are are typically thrown on Lake St. Clair, but does anyone have suggestions for crank baits & top water? Just want to change things up a bit. thanks.

| Top Raiders are good here and One eyed willys. Had a buddy get a big one on a creeper last year also
cranks for casting 7.5" big game scubas for deeper water and channel edges and MuskieTrain MX7.5"s for over weeds or weededges have been good.
Make sure you use some jerkbaits also Squirkos and Suicks.
95% of the people we saw casting St. Clair last summer were using double 10's or Bulldawgs. Using some thing the fish havent seen pays off.

if 95% of the anglers are trowing big plastic and big blades i think there is some reason behind that. it seems you are very lucky because you are one of the rare guys who have found the magic bullets?maybe you also think 95% of them don't like to catch big fish with regularity?boy you know catching 1 big fish per year on a non popular bait is ok but catching couple of giants with what everyone is using is a lot more fun.

| I agree with what jeff is saying however from my experience most of the people casting out there are very new to musky fishing and are using primarily smaller baits, small bucktails, huskyjerks, mepps etc. Plus the lake is so big that most of the fish are fairly naive |
