Location: Lake "y" cause lake"x" got over fished | So does everyone know what they are doing and where they are going..? I know I do. I have been on my lake almost everyday for the last few days scouting spots out and finding my plan of attack. Obviously situations can change, but I have spotted quite a few fish over the last few weeks.
I'm just curious... How many guys are hitting the water at midnight tonight? How many are waiting till morning.... I will be out mid way through, maybe 4am in a little green boat. Will be on a Metro Lake.... So if you see a little Green boat trolling around the points tomorrow throw me a waive. Tomorrow is also my birthday, hoping the musky gods give out Birthday presents!!
Good luck to you all! Have a Great and safe opener! |

Location: Minneapolis | I might be bringing your over/under down, Happy. Last night I rigged up the handful of rods I'm bringing, and NONE of them have a double 10 attached! I like your 2 pounder idea. |

that eelpout looking thing may look a little odd in the lake i'm guessing your fishing tommorow......but then again the haven't seen factor may just play |

| Was on Minnetonka at 5 am. Moved 3 fish up shallow within the first 1/2 hour being out. One of them looked to be the Tiger I saw twice last year, probably a 43ish inch fish. After that it went dead. |

Location: Coon Rapids, MN | I was out for about 6 hours this morning in the metro. Raised 2 fish around 8 that were hot but couldn't get them to go. After that it was dead. Lots of boats out on the water today! |

Location: Lake "y" cause lake"x" got over fished | Was out 14 hours Saturday and two different Lakes. Tonka and Piersons, Moved two fish on Tonka in the morning. One on a phantom soft tail and one on a Muskie Treat. Caught neither. Both around 8:30am deep in the weeds... then nothing all day.
Sunday - Out since 5:30am got off tonka at 2:30, I missed one and my boat partner missed one.... My boat partner had a lazy follow after that.... Then nothing, the blue skys came out and we left.
In the words of the magic 8ball.... outlook not so good |

| fish are cold an lazy
19 follows and one missed small fish saw nothing above 45,,,all follows were 5+ feet behind bait the lake I was on I think had some recent falling water temps and the fish seemed sluggish,,I;ll have to check with the night crew and see if they did better after dark |

Location: Stones throw away...finally!! | We got 2 (32 and 42) on Saturday, but put 16 hours in the boat to get them. Tried another local parking lot on Sunday and saw a nice (mid 40) fish right away, then nothing except boats that were cutting us off for the next several hours (we got off the water at 4:00. Not a terrible weekend, but sort of expected more... |

| The MN Opener was good to my buddy's two kids...Adam (10yrs) got a 35" and 45" and Eric (12yrs) got a 40" and 50.5". Lots of different patterns and the fishing was far from spectacular...but we ground it out and were rewarded. These kids are hooked...and that is the greatest part of the day!
