Location: Land of the Musky | For the Tubby Tube...
1) Removable harness system and you can alter both the front and back weight
2) You can also use a small drop shot and add weight to the internal harness if you want to.
3) Front hook is almost on the nose for head shots
4) You can remove the back half of the harness system as it is on a split ring so you can just fish the tube if you want to.
5) The tail is on a cork screw so you can remove the tails real easy and change them out
6) The Tubby Tubes have triple split rings
7) Larger profile vs the Jimmy
8) Tubby Tube comes in 21 colors
9) 14" Tubby Tube cost $14.99 vs $21.99 (Jimmy price at Rollie and Helens)
10) All profits from the sales of Tubby Tubes are donated to Veterans and Children's Charities. We do not keep a dime...

Just an FYI but neither the Jimmy or the Tubby Tube are original "musky" tube baits. IMO the original was the Tiger Tube (no longer made) but even that bait is about 70 years younger than the original tube baits that came out a long time ago in the early 1900s. These are just super sized tube baits for musky...

| i ask the question because i really like the way jimmy is swimming.for some strange reason mi don't have any black orange tail in their lineup.so if the tubby is swimming like the jimmy i think i'll have to get a couple, and i really like the idea of a treble very close to the head.
thanks |

| I am sure both are great products and each has their time/place. |

| The newer rigs/jigs in the Red October tubes are great for "swimming" a tube. You can switch up on the water if needed and really work a tube. I still love them for vertical jigging and popping them but I've gotten more into "swimming" them erratically in shallow water... |

Location: Detroit River | I have both the Jimmy & Tubby & I prefer Red October tubes over them. I actually need to put my Tubby's & Jimmy's in the For Sale section because I stopped using them & don't carry them in my boxes.
Canyon plastic has a nice 10" tube that's not as girthy as the Red October tubes & the plastic is thinner but the action from them when you work it as a glide bait is killer. |

Location: Land of the Musky | I give 99% credit to the Tiger Tube. If they never came out with that large tube I bet most or all of the current musky tubes would not exist. Not sure why they ever stopped making them. On a personal note, my favorite tubes are Red October tubes. Those things are very versatile baits to use and those guys really did a great job with all of the options on them and great colors too.

| Not much differnce in action IMO but the Jimmy tubes are about $8 cheaper and you can adjust the lures a lot for action. |
